Personal injury attorney can help assess wrongful death claim

As the weather starts to get colder, Michigan motorcycle enthusiasts are likely making the most of the days before the climate becomes less inviting to open-air riding. Unfortunately, even the most experienced riders still face the dangers posed by inattentive motorists. Those who suffer injuries may elect to file a wrongful death civil lawsuit with the help of a personal injury attorney against those parties who are deemed responsible for an accident.

Recently, a 60-year-old woman was operating her motorcycle in the northbound lane of a local road. She approached a local gas station. As she did so, a vehicle that was being driven by an 18-year-old woman pulled out directly into the travel lane of the approaching bike.

Woman suffers serious personal injury in dog attack

Many people believe their pets are incapable of inflicting harm. Unfortunately, dog bite attacks that result in serious personal injury to victims are all too common. One Michigan woman, said to be 59 years old, is now left wondering if she will lose her vision in one eye after a terrifying mauling.

She says she was walking by a home she had passed many times before. This time, she sensed the need to look behind her. Two pit bulls that resided on the property had somehow managed to break free from their yard and attacked her.

Car accidents can change Michigan families forever

One of the greatest fears parents may have is not being able to keep their family safe from harm. Regardless of how diligently one drives, car accidents can be some of the most unpredictable dangers. Recently, one Michigan wreck took the life of a young mother and left two children critically injured.

According to the police, the woman was traveling with her two 5-year-old boys in their vehicle. She was headed in a westerly direction and apparently had the right-of-way at a local crossroads. A pickup truck traveling north did not stop at the intersection and smashed into the 33-year-old woman's vehicle.

Car accidents can lead to devastation for many families

When Michigan residents think of fatal car accidents, they probably imagine a multi-car pileup on the interstate or a state highway. Car accidents in parking lots and other private property usually only consist of fender benders and minor injuries. A woman was recently found guilty by a criminal court jury for causing the death of a man at a gas station.

Although not a deliberate act, the 75-year-old woman's vehicle ran into a gas pump, causing it to explode. Fire engulfed a man who was using the pump to refuel his car. He did not survive, leaving behind a wife and four children.

Truckers liable for crashes caused by fatigue

Michigan drivers share the road with commercial vehicles every day, and for the most part, these interactions are uneventful. However, all it takes is one trucker to be in violation of one trucking regulation for an interaction to become deadly.

This can and does happen when a trucker violates federal Hours of Service regulations.
